Mission: To support The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society AND Dance, Hope, Cure and run/walk in honor of Bob Stager, MD (OBGYN at Augusta University) who was diagnosed with T Cell Lymphoma and is currently undergoing treatment.

The Bob Trot 5K is a family-friendly event that will take place at the Savannah River Rapids Park and will course along the trail at the Augusta Canal. After expenses are paid, all proceeds from the event will go directly to two charities chosen by the Stager family: The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and Dance, Hope, Cure. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma and Hodgkin’s disease, improve access to care for all, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Dance, Hope, Cure is a childhood cancer awareness campaign, of which leukemia is one of the most common types of childhood cancers, whose mission is to shine a light on the state of childhood cancer research funding by uniting the childhood cancer community, members of Congress, top pediatric oncologists and several of the country’s most influential celebrities.

AWARDS:

Overall 1st, 2nd, 3rd place Male and Female (not eligible for age group awards)- gold, silver, bronze medals and gift certificates

Age groups 1st place Male and Female (14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, over 70)- gift certificate awards based on age on race day and official net time

TIMING:

Chip timed (all participants are assigned an electronic timing device prior to the event in their Participant packet.  Participants must wear their assigned timing device continuously to receive an accurate finish time.)

Clock time is the official time for determining 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall place awards

PARKING:

Participant parking is available at Savannah Rapids Park. We suggest parking in the lower parking lot by the Magnolia Picnic Pavilion near the Augusta Canal footbridge.
